LCPL WRAPPED 2024
Ok DON'T PANIC, this post is still true - it just broke containment a bit so we don't know how many people saw the original tags and might therefore be a little concerned to see THIS post.
We don't know what you, personally, checked out.
We have to track total circulation stats to make sure we're doing our job correctly and keeping a healthy collection (and to defend our budget), but these stats are anonymous!
Is one person responsible for every single One Piece check out? Is James Patterson artificially inflating his numbers by visiting our library constantly? Who knows! The only thing we know is that kids(?) really, really like Jeff Kinney books.
And so without further ado, here are the most checked-out items of 2024:
Tumblr media
Want to compare to 2023? Here's 2023 wrapped
(ID: Images are lists of books; each list is typed out in the post under the image. /ID)

I love Knight with the Lion. He’s got novels and picture books and comics. But where’s his movie?

Greg Hefley eventually stopped trying so hard after The Third Wheel (Book 7) and focused on family issues and outdoor activities. It's not until No Brainer (Book 18) that he finally gets a girlfriend. However, it lasts as short as any middle school relationship. Some claims don't age well.

I get them whenever I'm in a moving vehicle, and I suddenly get the urge to throw my phone out the window, it also happens when I'm crossing a bridge and the sudden need to throw something or myself is kinda worrying actually.
I've also acted on it during a road trip, and I put my head out the window and just screamed... was indeed having the time of my life >:)

Ashnikko has multiple songs that are not-even-subtly about killing a man with her pussy or stealing his girlfriend and treating her better than he ever could, yet I know like THREE gay people who talk about this absolute icon.

DIARY OF A WIMPY KID:
NO BRAINER
Tumblr media
Jeff Kinney just dropped the 18th book in the Wimpy Kid series and it is an all-rounder!
Things are/were already hard for Greg Heffley in middle school, and things have now taken a huge turn as his middle school proceeds to shut down.
The middle founded by Mr. Larry Mack is on its verge of collapse, mice in the C wing, restroom sinks falling off, bee nests in classrooms, hiring of a robot janitor, the book has all your crazy middle school adventures covered.
The author has definitely picked up and made this 18th book the wimpy it gets. Many users across the reviewing platforms quoted how the book is action packed and fast-paced , which is an extremely true statement.
Not only this, but the book also covers the status of various public schools and how most of them are operating on/with debt or are struggling raising funds. It is to be understood that a school provides the very foundation of the child to grow and discover themselves and their surroundings,
And we most definitely not want them to be infested with some snakes that got loose during an assembly, or with robotic janitors, loose sinks, or people using school as a billboard in Times Square or Police dogs occupying the C-wing.
Jeff Kinney went far and above with his imagination of the characters and delivered us this masterpiece!!
This book deserves a spot on your reading list if you are a Wimpy Kid fan, want to start reading Wimpy Kid* or are looking for some light yet fast-paced and drama filled book. Recommended ages would be 9-14 years**. Also makes a perfect gift for Wimpy Kid fans or younger siblings.
This book has set the bar high and left us Wimpy Kid fans desperate for more!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*it is advised to start from the first Wimpy Kid
** this is recommended age for the book according to the statistics from the surveys. Fun-read for any age according to our Editors!! 😊

Thank you for reading 😊😊

Supernatural Battle of the Episodes!
Hey folks! Looks like Sacrifice took a big bite out if Dog Dean Afternoon ( see what I did there?) I don't think it will have any problem with the next episode either!
Whatcha got Chuck?!
Chuck: Today we have Heaven Can't Wait - Sam and Dean don't do much but Cas thinks he has a date with his boss but he's just a babysitter. Idk not much else happens.

Don't get me wrong but Frenkie definitely deserves to be one of the captains after Araujo instead of Lewy. Frenkie has endured not only poor seasons and continuous displacement of his position by previous coaches, he was also disrespected and almost pushed out of Barça by management. Yet against all odds he planted his foot into Barça soil and helped bring the club back from the shambles.
If not him as one of the captains, then who?

As a writer, I do like to joke sometimes about liking having written better than writing, because writing is hard! And I wouldn’t actually trade it for just having written – – there is no point in that for me.
(PS the whole having written vs writing thing comes from a quote, but I don’t remember who said it)
Unpopular opinion but if you don't enjoy the process you should find a different thing to do.
And I think this is true in general but now I'm talking about it in the context of AI.
If you don't enjoy making art and only care about the end piece and how it'll look and how much traction it"lol get online then making art is not something for you, find something you enjoy from start to finish.
Same goes for writing: if you do not enjoy writing and rewriting and then some more and instead want AI to write for you, being a writer is not something you should pursue.
Sure, not every part of creative process is going to be equally enjoyable but you should get satisfaction from solving the problems along the way and you should get a sense of accomplishment on your way of "making the piece yours" and you should have a sense of ownership once you are done.
None of these things will come from typing in a prompt into chatGPT. And I am sad to see so many people are missing on the opportunity to experience the joy of making something with their own hands and brains.
